Stretching

All of my life, I have been intrigued by Yoga. I have a very early memory of my lovely Aunt Mary doing a plow movement that absolutely fascinated me. When Don and I went to a Marriage Encounter weekend (an absolute disaster but a story for another time), also sharing our hotel space was a convention for Tantric Yoga. While I despised these marriage 'gurus', I was entranced by these lovely willowy men and women and their children who moved with such grace.
A few months later, Don and I decided that we needed a regular date night and we needed an activity. Yoga. At the Green Road in Buckhead, then we could go to a nice dinner.
I have been a practioner though an in and out classworker ever since.
But with this walk/run stuff I have been doing has come a different stretch focus. My back thigh muscles have tightened up to a degree that no amount of down dog can fix. And my legs for the last couple of months during last years market seasons really ached.
So, I have ramped up my stretching to a degree I have never done. And I do stretching multiple times a day.
My legs feel so much better and why I am amazed by that, I surely couldn't tell you.

I did a lovely 3.3 mile walk today in the midst of gorgeous Atlanta weather and beauty. I did not keep to my promises about abdominal work last week but this week, I am committed. Also, I stopped by Weight Watchers and weighed in -- 174 lbs which is down a pound in a month.
