Don has planned our next 2 outings. We will be in North Carolina for the next little bit and that is a good thing. The roads in and out of trail in NC appear to be much better than Georgia.
On our next adventure, we are actually going to hike 3 days, really more like 2 and a half because we need to be off the trail and on the road again to a family reunion. But still -- 3 days in a row! Still not planning on the camping out this time or next but as soon as the weather cools down we are planning on a modified campout. As in, we are camping out but not carrying the equipment.
Okay, I know we are being stodgy but when you get right down to it, we ARE stodgy. And I am afraid if I push myself too hard, the whole adventure will lose its luster and I won't want to go anymore.
Which brings me to the next thing -- my training schedule. Life is constantly rearranging itself around here and I suddenly find myself with loads more free time. I am working hard in our overgrown yard and planning on working out every day. Yesterday, I made the mistake of coming home before I worked out and never went out again. Today, I won't do that. To the gym I go and then, home to do chores and put in some time outside before the deluge starts this evening. I am determined to get this weight off and get myself into much better shape.
I went on Saturday morning to Weight Watchers and I weighed 168. I am feeling strong and positive about my goals.
